WhatsApp will end support for select Android phones after October: Is Yours On The List?

Starting October 24, 2023, WhatsApp will stop supporting some older Android phones with Android versions less than 5. The reason for this decision is to focus on developing new features and implementing the latest security technologies.

WhatsApp's new feature will allow you to transfer data from Android to iOS

As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp is ending support for Android versions below 5, which indicates that these older phone models are no longer in widespread use. Users with such older devices can continue to use WhatsApp, but they will not receive updates, security fixes, or new features. This can make their devices vulnerable to hackers.

WhatsApp is informing users with these older phones and urging them to upgrade their devices for a better experience. Many other tech companies are also planning to stop supporting older devices with very few users.
