With these methods, you can easily use your Android phone without the power button, so if your power button is not working, don’t skip any method.
1. Turn on the phone with the Charging Cable
We all know that when our phone is turned off we use the power button to turn it on. But how can we start our phone when the power button is not working? Follow the steps below to turn on an Android device without a power button.
- Press and hold the volume up button, then connect the charging cable to your phone (Make sure the charging plug is on).
- You will see the Android System Recovery menu option.
Important Point: You don’t need to do anything because you can navigate up and down with the volume buttons, but you cannot select options because your power button is not working. Just wait 3-4 minutes, This will automatically restart your device and turn on your phone.
2. Schedule Power On/Off Feature
If your phone is on, and you want to restart it, you can use the Scheduled Power On/Off feature to reset your phone. Follow the steps to learn how to do it.
- Go to phone Settings > Battery & performance>Battery.
- Click on the Schedule power on/off option.
- Firstly, tap on the toggle button of Power off time and set when you want to turn off your device. Then, set the Repeat option to 1 time.
- Now, tap the toggle button of Power on time and set the time when you want to turn on your phone.
This will automatically power off and power on your device. You can set the time according to your current time and set a 2-3 minute gap between the power-off and power-on actions.
Important Note: Every phone has its settings, so if you can’t find the Battery option by following these steps, just click on the Settings search bar and type Schedule power on/off or just Schedule power, and the option will appear. Just click on it and set the time as mentioned above.

The Quick Ball is very similar to the Assistive Touch button on the iPhone. You can assign specific functions or shortcuts that you can access quickly from your screen.

- Go to Settings > Additional Settings > Quick Ball.
